Another one. *sigh* When will it end???

Aerated bubbles chasing dirty entities...

Because Kate doesn't read anything longer than a couple of lines, I've decided to an alphabet acrostic thingy... it's working alright so far, but I'm not so sure. Oh well!

UPDATES:

Since I posted last, I have:

* bought a piano!!! (YAY!!)
* started driving to work everyday.
* become the Queensland Representative of the Scott Cain Street Team

At work, our company was bought by another company, so we were all made redundant. There were five people in our office, but the new company only wanted a few. I was offered a job, and so were Jody and Kate, but Melinda (my favourite) and Danny (our General Manager) weren't. It was so sad! There were tears. :( That was last Friday, and Melinda already has another job! It's just at the end of her street, too, so that's really good. I hope all goes well for her.

Tonight my family and I are going to dinner for my uncle's birthday. Should be good! Mmmm, Thai food!

Seeing as I'm the Queensland Representative of the Scott Cain Street Team, tomorrow I'm going to some of his instore appearances to hand out flyers advertising his fan club, etc. Then tomorrow evening is my date with Scott. So yeah. An action-packed day!

When George Harrison (From The Beatles) died, his family issued this statement, which I thought was really lovely. "He left this world as he lived in it, conscious of God, fearless of death, and at peace, surrounded by family and friends. He often said, 'Everything else can wait, but the search for God cannot wait', and 'love one another'."

Another washing and wiping up thingy. I have to make them shorter, so that people at work will actually read them. :)

I drifted in the night, through a seemingly endless maze of dreams. Each turn offered another delicious serving of memories, thoughts, and emotions. Brighter and brighter they shone, until the light of the past became unbearable. I turned away, to face the future once again. Amongst the chaos and uncertainty this view provided, one image was clear; a sink filled with bubbly water...

Oh, and I forgot to post the one from last week...

So tell me, Professor Higgins, tell me why you’re so passionate about washing the dishes.
Ah, Professor Von Gruppenheimer, a very good question indeed! I absolutely adore washing the dishes, for one simple reason. Bubbles.
Bubbles?
Yes, bubbles! Ah, the magnificence of bubbles. Floating, forever floating... Wafting... Drifting...
... ... ...
Professor Higgins? Are you alright?
Huh? Oh yes, Professor Von Gruppenheimer. Where were we?
Would you like to take a short break, Professor Higgins?
Please, call me Fred.
Isn’t your first name Phil?
Oh yes, right. Call me that, then.
Alright Phil, you were speaking of your fascination with bubbles.
Ah, yes, enthralling subject. Enthralling indeed...
... ... ...
Would you care to elaborate?
Oh, oh yes, of course...
... ... ...
Now?
Oh yes. Bubbles. Glorious bubbles. My fascination with bubbles began at age six, when I did the washing and wiping up for the very first time. I happened to notice some shiny, round objects in the water, and I asked my mother about them. “Mummy,” I said “What are these?” “Why, my son, those are bubbles!” she replied. I was captivated. Bubble. What a perfect word! A perfect word for a perfect object. Indeed, bubbles are lovely. But I slowly began to realize that bubbles are more than just lovely, wondrous, fascinating and fantastic; they are also a scientific marvel!
How so?
Well, as you may know, I am in the process of writing my first essay, entitled “Bubbles and you”. It will explain the scientific reasoning behind bubbles, their origin, and why I myself am a bubble.
You’re a bubble?
Why, yes, of course!
Obviously not a literal bubble...
Well, I don’t want to give too much away, but let’s just say that things are not always what they seem.
Right... well thank you very much for speaking with me, Professor Higgins.
Please, call me George.
You mean Phil.
Oh yes. Thank you Professor Von Gruppenheimer. The pleasure is all mine.
Yes, I know. Goodbye.
Goodbye!

Received this email in my inbox this morning...

Dear Alyssa

CONGRATULATIONS!

You have won a lunch date with Scott Cain! You will be contacted again once details of the lunch date are confirmed. Your details have been passed on to Scott's manager and she should contact you about it soon.
Congratulations once again,
Kind regards,
Marc

:) lol I knew this would happen! By joining Scott Cain's Fan Club, I automatically went in the draw to win the lunch date. And lookee here! I won. Well well well. How exciting. :) Anyway, on to some other news...

My weekend was pretty good! On Saturday I went kayaking with my uncle. It was cool! The water was very calm, and we paddled (rowed? whatever) for what seemed like ages. My arms were aching when we started, but after a little while it was fine. Then I went over my Nanna's house and we went to the movies to see 'About A Boy'. It was soooo funny! Very, very good. Went back to Nanna's, watched Gilmore Girls, and went to sleep. In the morning we went to church, and I signed up for this 'Extreme' thing, which is basically a group that does things like hiking, sailing, and other adventurous things. This Satuday we're going rock climbing and abseiling! I can't wait! And it should give me the chance to meet some people from my church. We¡¦re only new there, so I don't really know anyone yet. Sunday afternoon I went to the shops and bought some seat covers and mats for Maximus (my car). It looks really good now! On the inside, anyway. :) The back seat cover has Marvin the Martian all over it, it rocks! And I put heaps of fluffy toy animals inside my car, to brighten it up a bit. YAY! I love my car now! Anyway, then last night I drove to church, took the wrong turnoff, and ended up a LOOOOONG way from where I was supposed to be. I rang Steve (my stepdad) from my mobile (not supposed to use your mobile phone while driving! Naughty Alyssa!) to get directions. $15 worth of phone calls later (!) I got to church. I was only about 10 minutes late, which wasn¡¦t too bad. So yeah, that was my weekend. :) Oh, and this morning I drove to work! Mum didn't need the car; she has the day off because of the Ekka holidays. I have Wednesday off. :)

Hmmm, that's about all for now. Bye!

Speaking of washing and wiping up, I sent one of my most recent thingies (the Phil "Mad Scientist" Higgins" essay) to my friend Kirsty, and this is what she said:

'Oh my god, you're Washing Up Essay was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! Seriously, it's brilliant! Extremely weird, mind you, but still extremely good. How on earth did you come up with something like that?!? It's a shame your colleagues don't appreciate it, i think it's great. I can see why your mum wanted to show it around, it's really funny. Feel free to send me more! :)'

YAY! Someone likes them!!! How wonderful. :) I'm happy.
